Frequently
asked questions from new pupils:
Ages
- Pupils may start dancing
aged approximately two years and six months.
Clothing
- Comfortable clothing is suitable for
the first few classes.
Exams
- We enter pupils for external
examinations from five years of age. Jane or another qualified teacher
will assess each pupil's suitability for examination and discusses the
entry with the pupil and parent. Examination entry is not compulsory and
pupils can skip an exam and move up to the next class at the appropriate
time.
Extras
- All pupils may participate in our
shows, summer school and workshops.
Fees
- Pupils can commence tuition at any
point in the term. After the first free of charge class pupils will need
to pay for the remaining weeks in the term.
Foot wear
- We suggest bare feet if ballet shoes
are not worn for the first few classes.
Uniform
- After a few classes each pupil is
asked to wear the school uniform (shoes, socks, leotard, vollé skirt &
cardigan), which we sell at the beginning of each class.
Welcome pack
- At the first class each pupil will be
given a Welcome Pack,
which includes a registration form for completion and details about the
school.
